Carers Support offers free support to carers in the Bristol and South Gloucestershire areas. Our vision is to create a better life for carers of all ages where they are recognised, valued and supported in their caring role and empowered to fulfil their own aspirations.

Advice and support

We offer a range of services to help support you in your caring role including helping you get a Carers Assessment and providing support and wellbeing groups. Or get advice on a range of topics including benefits and finance, work and learning, legal and carers rights, taking a break and more.

We offer help and support to children aged 8-18 in South Gloucestershire and 5-18 in Bristol. This includes one-one support, groups, fun activities and short breaks!

We've just published our first in-house, co-produced research report exploring carers’ need for breaks. Led by Dr Susy Giullari and shaped by 70 carers and community partners, the study highlights the urgent need for flexible, inclusive support—and is already influencing local strategy and services.
